The association's industry report.

The Co-Liv Report 2024 gathers the association's network around one question: how housing evolves. Across 45 pages, it brings voices from the wider housing world into one document, with contributions from MIPIM, UN-Habitat, JLL and national housing ministries.

It appears in a landmark year for the association. In March 2024, Marta Rocamora takes over the presidency of Co-Liv, and the report carries her voice as President. It is also the era of Housing Matters!, the international conference on residential innovation Co-Liv runs with MIPIM, drawing up to 1,000 attendees to Cannes.

Why Co-Liv publishes it.

Co-Liv reads housing through four pressures: rapid urbanization, a real estate crisis, accelerated lifestyles and a loneliness epidemic. Shared living answers all four, and the association champions the evolution of housing through innovative, sustainable and community-centric solutions.

The report puts that mission on paper. By bringing institutions like UN-Habitat, JLL and national housing ministries to the same table as coliving professionals, it places shared living where Co-Liv believes it belongs: at the center of the housing conversation. New to the model? Start with what coliving is.

Who the report is for.

Operators and developers, first. The people building and running shared living projects, who want to see the wider housing landscape their work sits in.

Investors and advisors next, who follow the market signals institutions like JLL and MIPIM bring to the table.

And policymakers. With UN-Habitat and national housing ministries among the contributors, the report speaks the language of the people who shape housing policy.

Part of a decade of research.

The report stands on years of published work: the association's summit reports, surveys, handbooks and books, built with a network of 5,000+ professionals across the world. Co-Liv writes so the industry learns faster.
